Powerful policy that should be set in our schools.

 A friend just sent this to me. Thank you, Jim Barrus, this is what should be the rule, not the exception to it in our schools.

FINALLY - - Someone in the teaching profession had the courage to set the standards so badly needed NOW.

New High School Principal

We watched high school principal Dennis Prager of Colorado, along with Sara Palin and Tom Brokaw on TV a couple of weeks ago....what a dynamic, down to earth speaker. Even though Palin and Brokaw were also guest speakers they did little but nod and agree with him. This is the guy that should be running for President in2016!A Speech Every American High School Principal Should Give.

To the students and faculty of our high school:

I am your new principal, and honored to be so.
There is no greater calling than to teach young people.

I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our school. I am making these changes because I am convinced that most of the ideas that have dominated public education in America have worked against you, against your teachers and against our country.

First , this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity.
I could not care less if your racial makeup is black, brown, red, yellow or white. I could not care less if your origins are African, Latin American, Asian or European, or if your ancestors arrived here on the Mayflower or on slave ships. The only identity I care about, the only one this school will recognize, is your individual identity -- your character, your scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this school will care about is American.

This is an American public school, and American public schools were created to make better Americans. If you wish to affirm an ethnic, racial or religious identity through school, you will have to go elsewhere. We will end all ethnicity, race and non-American nationality-based celebrations. They undermine the motto of America, one of its three central values – e pluribus Unum, "from many, one." And this school will be guided by America 's values. This includes all after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students based on any identities. This includes race, language, religion, sexual orientation or whatever else may become in vogue in a society divided by political correctness.

Your clubs will be based on interests and passions, not blood, ethnic, racial or other physically defined ties. Those clubs just cultivate narcissism -- an unhealthy preoccupation with the self -- while the purpose of education is to get you to think beyond yourself. So we will have clubs that transport you to the wonders and glories of art, music, astronomy, languages you do not already speak, carpentry and more. If the only extracurricular activities you can imagine being interested in are those based on ethnic, racial or sexual identity, that means that little outside of yourself really interests you.

Second, I am uninterested in whether English is your native language. My only interest in terms of language is that you leave this school speaking and writing English as fluently as possible. The English language has united America 's citizens for over 200 years, and it will unite us at this school. It is one of the indispensable reasons this country of immigrants has always come to be one country. And if you leave this school without excellent English language skills, I would be remiss in my duty to ensure that you will be prepared to successfully compete in the American job market. We will learn other languages here -- it is deplorable that most Americans only speak English -- but if you want classes taught in your native language rather than in English, this is not your school.

Third , because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor, everything in this school will reflect learning's elevated status. This means, among other things, that you and your teachers will dress accordingly. Many people in our society dress more formally for Hollywood events than for church or school. These people have their priorities backward. Therefore, there will be a formal dress code at this school.

Fourth, no obscene language will be tolerated anywhere on this school's property -- whether in class, in the hallways or at athletic events. If you can't speak without using the f -word, you can't speak. By obscene language I mean the words banned by the Federal Communications Commission, plus epithets such as "Nigger," even when used by one black student to address another black, or "bitch," even when addressed by a girl to a girlfriend. It is my intent that by the time you leave this school, you will be among the few your age to instinctively distinguish between the elevated and the degraded, the holy and the obscene.

Fifth, we will end all self-esteem programs. In this school, self-esteem will be attained in only one way -- the way people attained it until decided otherwise a generation ago -- by earning it. One immediate consequence is that there will be one valedictorian, not eight.

Sixth, and last, I am reorienting the school toward academics and away from politics and propaganda. No more time will be devoted to scaring you about smoking and caffeine, or terrifying you about sexual harassment or global warming. No more semesters will be devoted to condom wearing and teaching you to regard sexual relations as only or primarily a health issue. There will be no more attempts to convince you that you are a victim because you are not white, or not male, or not heterosexual or not Christian. We will have failed if any one of you graduates this school and does not consider him or herself inordinately fortunate -- to be alive and to be an American.

Now, please stand and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of our country. As many of you do not know the words, your teachers will hand them out to you.

The Road Ahead

The mere fact that it took me over a week to discover that I had a comment to my post announcing my intention to run for US Congress revealed one of the many things that I am not. It revealed that I am not a cyber genius in that after several months since starting this blog, I am still learning how to do things like checking comments. Also, the commenter correctly noted that some of my grammar and punctuation was off. In fact, in my reply to "Anonymous", once again, I made some mistakes. So, that has left me thinking today about the many challenges I have before me.
I am searching for the right person to run my campaign. That person, I hope will use better grammar and dot every i to the satisfaction of my critics. However, my grammar is the least of all matters needing attention. I acknowledge here, right now, that my chances of winning this election are past impossible in the realm of such non-sensible issues. I will win based on the will of Massachusetts residents to make a change toward effective government and real action. My handlers, who, will undoubtedly, correct my grammar issues will not be the center of my service towards my constituents. It will be those very constituents who I will depend upon to advise me and direct my actions.
If one must be honest, I must admit that it is not my first choice to serve as a Congressman. I am putting myself on the firing line. But, someone must step forward if we are to return true freedom and liberty to all people. This will be a lot of work. The easiest part will be winning as a very strong Republican in a state that historically has gone to the Liberal candidates. The only reason I will win is because I am one thing they are not... REAL. Don't get me wrong, on more than one occasion, I have run into Congressman Neal at the local 7 Eleven near his home. He is, a very nice individual with good intent. But, his mind is closed and locked on a certain philosophy. I would not call him a racist or an elitist. But, I will attest that the system he supports does not see the real hopes and aspirations of those he serves. That system does not, in reality see him or any other congressman in the role of serving. It is a system that has turned these public servants into Lords and Kings. When elected, my real work will start by challenging that status. I will be a serious threat to Democrat and Republican alike as I constantly remind them who we work for. As I sit not with dignitaries or community leaders in my weekly "Lunch with the Boss", I will acknowledge that each American, individually, must be heard. I said it before, I will not make  many friends in Washington. But, my success, OUR success, will depend on my friends here in Massachusetts, the place freedom made its very first steps. My own families blood was shed here for the cause of a unique country and culture that will stand for liberty. Many are sitting by as that sacrifice is overlooked for the easy path of compromise toward a global culture that does NOT value freedom and liberty or the value of that individual I look forward to sharing a lunch and opinion of. Those, in Washington, right now, are very inclined to water down your freedoms to join the world view. A world filled with elitism power grabbing, ethnic cleansing, social classes, ect. We are meant to lead the world, not the other way around. I intend to remind my colleagues of this and bring about a change back to the true intent of the Constitution. Now, this is a daunting task that terrifies me. I can not do it alone.
I AM JUST A MAN, a simple man, I AM YOU! As your Rep, I will go, not to win a spelling bee, I will go to do battle in your name. I will go to end slavery through entitlement programs and, instead introduce simple programs to assist those in need while educating them for real productive jobs not limited to just low skill. We can regenerate our economy and return to technological dominance using the workforce that has been waiting for this opportunity the whole time.
My friends, Anonymous wrote that they did not feel I was qualified..... What they really implied in that is that you are not capable of our success. I meet all the qualifications to be your Representative in Congress. The main one being, I am listening. I have lived the real life with you. I know your struggles because I have lived them too. I know how desperately you dream of a better life for your children. And I know, if given the chance, how eagerly you would give it to them. My own disability and own personal struggles are all I have ever known. I don't look at our poor and disadvantaged and say "Let's take care of them." I look at you and say, "let's  take pride and lift each other out, all the way out. Let's go all the way!" I ask you to believe in me. Because, I certainly believe in you.

My Platform



A long ago, in a time far too many dismiss as being different than our own, our Fore Fathers drafted a unique document that declared our new country to be something different. After centuries of oppression at the hands of governments that placed low or no value on the human lives of the lower class or those with different religious views, those who had come to this new land decided that they would create a system of law, a CONSTITUTION to make all men equal.
Today, much as in that day, there are people who seek to undermine our system. People, who would return us to the days of sub-service to kings and lords. Oh, they may use different titles, but in the end it is all still the same. One document gives all Americans the liberty and freedom to choose their destiny.. the US CONSTITUTION.
As your Congressman in the Massachusetts First District, I intend to defend the constitution from those who seek to alter the meaning and intent of that document to gain political power.
I am not a career politician, a point my opponents will certainly make clear. It is, however, my best feature. I don’t seek power or fame. I live with my wife and two of my five daughters in a small apartment in West  Springfield. And, after becoming your next Representative, we intend to continue to live where we will best hear your message.  I don’t need to make friends in Washington, and I won’t. I only need to deliver a message. YOUR MESSAGE. Far too long, our “Representatives have only answered to the desires of special interests and wealthy donors. Who really speaks for the single parent desperately trying to find a way to give their children hope? Who speaks for the would be small business entrepreneur who could really help a community if only they had a chance? What about you? Has anyone really asked what you think lately? More important, did they listen? As your Representative, my place is here among my constituents, hearing you concerns not just through the filter of civic leaders, but directly from you, my employers. I will make your voice, collectively and individually, heard in Washington.
As a Republican, some would think I differ from my neighbors here. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Because, as a Constitutional Republican, I represent the party of equality and liberty. I represent YOU. I intend to expose the hypocrisy of Democrat and mainstream Republican alike. I am not a “Modern Conservative”,  a  “Compassionate Conservative”, or any other designation yielding to the smooth talk of the day. I stand firm in my values and my duty to defend the Constitution and the future for all Americans, especially the most vulnerable among us. I represent the very ideals intended for our country from the beginning. “All men are created equal”. Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Republican, Democrat, ALL.
I will seek real solutions to problems such as our failing schools. By reducing the focus placed on union benefits and placing our sights first upon the children, we can return our curriculum to levels that find us once again first in the world. By awarding merit and talent, we can do this by rewarding competent and successful educators rather than wasting our children’s future on watered down curriculums and incompetent educators. No Child Left Behind failed the day we decided that meant we had to educate our children on the level of the weakest link. I endorse school vouchers that will allow parents and students to choose their futures for themselves and encourage educators and schools to push harder to attract students.
Real solutions to crime and violence. We need to support our law enforcement teams. We need to get tough on crime and stop allowing criminals to re-offend. That means keep the most dangerous offenders off the streets and offer those who can become useful again, a way out.  A way back home. Close the gap of despair. Re-vamp neighborhoods. Help those living in hard conditions to take back pride and dignity by reducing crime, working together to rebuild and raise hope in their homes. I won’t lie, I have no love for any man who preys upon the weak. We must remove such corrupt souls from such places for as long as it takes to give our brothers and sisters a chance to make something.
I am a firm supporter of the Second Amendment. Your right to bear arms is NOT NEGOTIABLE. It is the very reason our country can exist. All tyranny needs to take seed is a place that is weak and unable to fight back. I cannot say enough about this. The tragedies we have seen are directly the result of gun restrictions. Criminals are cowards who seek out our most vulnerable places to commit their crimes. I support the National Concealed Carry movement that will make it possible for people, armed and ready, to take up the duty to conserve life by first, giving the criminal more reason to NOT attempt the crime in the first place and second, by stopping the loss of innocent life if necessary. Let’s be clear, I have a permit to carry in over 30 states. When applying for this permit, I took a course that opened by reminding the applicant of the solemn duty and COST that comes from exercising that duty. You want someone nearby who is willing to make that sacrifice when you met a criminal on a dark street. But, such rights are not without cost and are not absolute. It is possible to create a database in which Physiologists and law enforcement can restrict those who pose a danger from gaining access to firearms. Laws can be made to magnify penalties to those who obtain or use firearms illegally. We need to stop trying to restrict the law abiding and crack down on the criminal.
The Health Care for America plan (Obamacare), cannot be allowed to continue to destroy jobs and our childrens future.  To make health care affordable has always been within the scope of our society without forcing everyone to buy a certain product, place terrible debt upon our children, and reduce the quality of care to our most vulnerable. We can do this…. Just not that way. We will do this because all Americans do deserve the best health care without the terrible costs.
These are just a few of my positions on what is a list of many facing us today and in this election. Stand with me and we will see America into its brightest day. Thank you my friends. I welcome your comments and am hopeful for your input.

Russ Jenkins for US Congress in 2014

On July 4th, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was ratified and declared our independence not only from external rule, but also from the corrupt and oppressive values and traditions of Europe at the time. The words, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness," Was a very alien concept to not only a culture that believed one was born into a certain class of living and should remain there, but also to a new country that needed to grow into such a noble and radical proclamation. Many who signed the document were, in fact slave owners. They realized two things. First, if all men were in fact, equal, slavery was wrong and must be stopped. But, to stop slavery was a step beyond what the nation, so new, could possibly do without tearing itself apart and ending the dream right there. The fact is, 75 years later, the dream almost ended as the nation fell into civil war and destruction.
Both the epic greatness and the depth of tragic darkness within the human soul were revealed as we, as a nation continued to fight for and against the meaning of those words. Founded in 1854, The Republican party was formed by anti-slavery activists in a movement that saw our darkest moment and, over one hundred years later, some of our greatest triumphs.

The indictment.

It is hard to imagine for some, but the Democratic opposition was, in fact, the slave owning states and the authors of the Jim Crow Laws that prevented all from equal participation. The KKK, itself was formed by southern Democratic groups to enforce segregation and intimidate all who opposed the Democratic party. 
Jim Crow Laws continued until 1965, when even Democratic support dwindled. But here is where the story doesn't end at all. The realization that without poor and oppressed people, the rich simply were not that special and the powerful were simply not relevant, gave way to a solution. Simply entrap a whole society within a sub-culture that, like a Chinese finger trap, will hold tighter as anyone tries to pull themselves free. The instrument of this solution was, in fact, the welfare and other social assistance programs that promised to lift the grandchildren of slaves to achieve freedom and equality at last. Instead, as time went on, it became incredibly difficult for participants to break free. Instead, a permanent poor class was formed, mainly of minority and other groups previously oppressed openly. The oppressors could gain favor-ability appearing as allies to the oppressed. A further advantage was received by the Democratic Party in that those who were trapped into dependance on these funds now voted as Democrats to maintain their security. It became the indoctrinated belief that the party that had spent over one and a half centuries now was their best friend.
Where do the Republicans fit into all this? Oh they are certainly not innocent at all! Truth be told, you see it more today than ever before with the formation of such ideals as "Compassionate Conservative." What a crock! Here, let me translate that phrase for you.... "Hi, I am a bigot who, like my Democrat friend here will now get rich and powerful while pretending to care about you. Only I am going to do it by making your welfare programs more complicated, you more poor, and call that reform."

In the end, the only way to free the spirit and find equality is to end entitlements through actual ways out of the cycle of poverty. I find the Occupy Wall Street crowd most humorous because they call for access for all to wealth while trying to tear down the very institutions that can best deliver that access. Then they report to the banner bearers of slavery and segregation. Job done, no equality.
America is a nation not only enslaved, but the slaves bow willingly and submissively before their masters all the while grateful for their false freedom. Today, every aspect of our liberty and freedom seems to be under attack. Who stands guard as leaders twist and defy the meaning of our highest laws and traditions. We need to stop tolerating corrupt leaders and return INTEGRITY.

Solution

Everyone knows I am a Republican. But, I am NOT a "Compassionate Conservative" and I am also NOT an establishment Republican. It really pains me to say that last part because what I am is what the old establishment used to be... A Constitutional Republican. I believe in those words I opened this blog with.
"All men are created Equal". Black, White, Asian, Klingon, ect. I believe that what our Fore Fathers intended has been under attack since the ink hit the paper. What this country needs is to hit the "Reset" button and return to the values and integrity originally intended in our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, And our Bill of Rights. STOP ENSLAVING PEOPLE WITH ENTITLEMENTS! Provide a real way out for all who will reach for it. It will take faith from all to do it. faith in freedom, Faith in the USA, Faith in ourselves. But, we can do it! I am about to enter the race for the 1rst Congressional District of Massachusetts. Not as a Republican, though that is my party affiliation, but as a Liberator. And to return a voice to those who need it most. Only when we end the corruption and the exploitation of our poor will we ever be able to cry as Rev. King said, "Free at Last! Thank God almighty, I'm free at last!" Put me to work, and we will find that greatness and beyond.
I can promise this. I will not go to Washington to make friends. I will go to fight for the liberty and freedom of ALL! We need someone who doesn't care about money or power. We need a wild card. That is me, Russell Jenkins!
