The Road Ahead

The mere fact that it took me over a week to discover that I had a comment to my post announcing my intention to run for US Congress revealed one of the many things that I am not. It revealed that I am not a cyber genius in that after several months since starting this blog, I am still learning how to do things like checking comments. Also, the commenter correctly noted that some of my grammar and punctuation was off. In fact, in my reply to "Anonymous", once again, I made some mistakes. So, that has left me thinking today about the many challenges I have before me.
I am searching for the right person to run my campaign. That person, I hope will use better grammar and dot every i to the satisfaction of my critics. However, my grammar is the least of all matters needing attention. I acknowledge here, right now, that my chances of winning this election are past impossible in the realm of such non-sensible issues. I will win based on the will of Massachusetts residents to make a change toward effective government and real action. My handlers, who, will undoubtedly, correct my grammar issues will not be the center of my service towards my constituents. It will be those very constituents who I will depend upon to advise me and direct my actions.
If one must be honest, I must admit that it is not my first choice to serve as a Congressman. I am putting myself on the firing line. But, someone must step forward if we are to return true freedom and liberty to all people. This will be a lot of work. The easiest part will be winning as a very strong Republican in a state that historically has gone to the Liberal candidates. The only reason I will win is because I am one thing they are not... REAL. Don't get me wrong, on more than one occasion, I have run into Congressman Neal at the local 7 Eleven near his home. He is, a very nice individual with good intent. But, his mind is closed and locked on a certain philosophy. I would not call him a racist or an elitist. But, I will attest that the system he supports does not see the real hopes and aspirations of those he serves. That system does not, in reality see him or any other congressman in the role of serving. It is a system that has turned these public servants into Lords and Kings. When elected, my real work will start by challenging that status. I will be a serious threat to Democrat and Republican alike as I constantly remind them who we work for. As I sit not with dignitaries or community leaders in my weekly "Lunch with the Boss", I will acknowledge that each American, individually, must be heard. I said it before, I will not make  many friends in Washington. But, my success, OUR success, will depend on my friends here in Massachusetts, the place freedom made its very first steps. My own families blood was shed here for the cause of a unique country and culture that will stand for liberty. Many are sitting by as that sacrifice is overlooked for the easy path of compromise toward a global culture that does NOT value freedom and liberty or the value of that individual I look forward to sharing a lunch and opinion of. Those, in Washington, right now, are very inclined to water down your freedoms to join the world view. A world filled with elitism power grabbing, ethnic cleansing, social classes, ect. We are meant to lead the world, not the other way around. I intend to remind my colleagues of this and bring about a change back to the true intent of the Constitution. Now, this is a daunting task that terrifies me. I can not do it alone.
I AM JUST A MAN, a simple man, I AM YOU! As your Rep, I will go, not to win a spelling bee, I will go to do battle in your name. I will go to end slavery through entitlement programs and, instead introduce simple programs to assist those in need while educating them for real productive jobs not limited to just low skill. We can regenerate our economy and return to technological dominance using the workforce that has been waiting for this opportunity the whole time.
My friends, Anonymous wrote that they did not feel I was qualified..... What they really implied in that is that you are not capable of our success. I meet all the qualifications to be your Representative in Congress. The main one being, I am listening. I have lived the real life with you. I know your struggles because I have lived them too. I know how desperately you dream of a better life for your children. And I know, if given the chance, how eagerly you would give it to them. My own disability and own personal struggles are all I have ever known. I don't look at our poor and disadvantaged and say "Let's take care of them." I look at you and say, "let's  take pride and lift each other out, all the way out. Let's go all the way!" I ask you to believe in me. Because, I certainly believe in you.
